Esme Tunic

I have been searching for a buffalo check linen blend fabric for SO LONG! Yay…this fabric is a dream…lightweight, flowy, and crinkled in just the right way. Since having such success with the Esme Top I knew making the tunic version with this fabric would be perfect. My favorite part is that facing…I mean tiny deer!

Project Notes:

Pattern: Esme Tunic from Everyday Style
Fabric: Navy Buffalo Check. Cosmo. 86% cotton 14% linen
Mods: None
Notes: I took in the sides about an inch each from under the arm to the hem…I don’t have very large hips so didn’t need that extra bit. The only thing I would change would be to center the lighter check down the front…I think I would be more slimming to have the two darker rows alongside the center seam…I should have gone with my gut on that, but live and learn. It’s one of those thing that I will notice, but nobody else (except for you since I just told you to look for it!)

Also, I ended up with a small tuck right on the shoulder seam…it blends in with the seam, but still, dang it! 🙂 I still love this tunic though! I’ve been wearing my Esme top a lot…so I know this will also get tons of wear!
