My first pullover sweater! According to my Ravelry notes I started this on February 25th! I knit a pair of socks and a hat in that time span as well so I’d say that’s pretty quick! It helps that most of this is knitting in the round and the pattern is super simple as well.
I absolutely love the fit, texture, color and especially the neckline on this….BUT, guys, this will be forever that pattern that I learned to BUY THE NICE YARN on. The yarn I used leaves a lot to be desired, I’ll just say that. I bought it because it was cheap and I was still at the point in my knitting where I wasn’t even sure if I would be able to finish the sweater with my limited knowledge, so I thought I would pick a cheaper yarn, just in case. Well now I have an awesome sweater in a acrylic-y yarn that could have been SO MUCH MORE. I’m still going to wear the heck out of it, even though it practically squeaks when I move ;P.
Pattern: Laurie Sweater by Josée Paquin
Yarn: DK with wool by DY Choice (75% acrylic, 25% wool) in color 308
Notes: Buy nice a nice wool yarn that blocks well as the neck line is meant to be blocked fairly wide (Which I now realize doesn’t really work with an acrylic!). I’ll probably make another one…this is such a flattering fit!
One more picture…it is really hard to photograph clothes on yourself you guys!!
